Psychologist Kelly McGonigal says,  “When you choose to view your stress response as helpful, you create the biology of courage”

Let’s face it, life is demanding.  No matter what phase of life you are in, there are always challenges, changes or new territory to move through…and with that comes stress.

Why?  Because we are evolutionarily wired to avoid the unknown, to run from fear and seek the familiar.  Our stress response is designed to keep us safe.  But once your core needs are met, your brain starts to interpret things like sitting in traffic, an opinionated tweet or unsolicited advice from social media as threats that warrant your fight/flight/freeze response.  But stress, in and of itself, is not bad for you….in fact, healthy doses of “stress” are actually required to elicit creative thought, innovation and motivation.  We need stress to take action. So how do you change your relationship with stress?    Join us to learn:

  • How stress works for you and supports your growth
  • The difference between distress and eustress and how to stay grounded in triggering situations
  • What discomfort does for your brain and how it can make you even stronger!
